Bobby’s Coffee Shop

bobbys-coffee-shop

Despite what the name implies, Bobby’s is not just a coffee shop. It is actually one of LA’s oldest diners, serving breakfast food to the San Fernando Valley since 1949. There isn’t anything particularly kitschy or trendy about Bobby’s. They just serve really good, classic diner food. Although I think LA might be the only place where even our diners use hormone free, all natural, cage free eggs.

There’s a parking lot around the corner from the Diner, and plenty of street parking available.

I go the Special Ranch Breakfast, 2 eggs, hash brown potatoes, 3 strips of bacon, toast & jam plus all the coffee you want. It’s been their special since 1949, and it’s easy to see why. The coffee was strong, the bacon and hash browns were crunchy without verging into burnt, the eggs were nice and runny, and I’m always a fan of sourdough toast.

The best place to go if you want a delicious, classic Americana breakfast in Los Angeles, is Bobby’s Coffee Shop.
