The Best Dumplings in Los Angeles

din-tai-fung

I am a fan of dumplings. So much so, that I used to drive all the way out to Arcadia for the best dumplings in LA! Din Tai Fung has branches all over the world including in Japan, South Korea, Australia, and the United States. Luckily for me, there is now a Din Tai Fung in the Glendale Americana, which is less of a haul.

Pork Soup Dumplings

You have to get the pork soup dumplings. Be careful when biting into them because the soup gets really hot, but they’re my favorite thing on the menu. I like to eat them with the ginger and vinegar provided on the table. I also love the garlic spinach. Any veggie saturating in garlic is good in my book! If you’re still hungry after all of that, I also really like the shrimp & pork spicy wontons. They’ve definitely got some kick to them, but they’re not too spicy. I’ve also had the pork buns in the past, but I don’t like them as much as the other two dishes. They’re still yummy, just not quite as good.

Shrimp & Pork Spicy Wontons

Din Tai Fung is pretty popular, so if you’re going during peak hours, be prepared for a little bit of a wait. They are so worth the wait though! The Americana is a beautiful outdoor mall, so use that time to walk around and enjoy the shops. The Americana even has a Pie Hole cart for dessert (my recommendations: https://www.lavitabloger.com/the-pie-hole/)! You can use the Glendale Americana parking structure, make sure to get your ticket validated.
