I love to read, so once I heard about the Last Bookstore, I knew I had to visit it! It may not be the last bookstore in Los Angeles, but it certainly is the coolest I’ve ever seen. It is located in the heart of downtown LA and it is California’s largest used and new book and record store. But what really draws people is the cool book sculptures throughout the store.

There is a porthole made of books, a tunnel made of books, a book labyrinth, book sculptures and more! Most of the cool book attractions are located on the upper level.

While there are many instagram-able locations throughout the store, the Last Bookstore is a working bookstore where you can buy new and used books and records. The lower level is where you’ll find the records and most of the new books, while the upper level holds the used books and a shared space occupied by a couple of little shops. The Last Bookstore also hosts a lot of cool events with authors periodically. I love any bookstore, but the Last Bookstore is really special and a fun place to spend a few hours. I already can’t wait to go back!
