The Best Cuban Food in LA

versailles

Versailles is the best Cuban food LA has to offer! The first Versailles was opened in 1981 in Los Angeles by Orlando Garcia, who was born and raised in Cuba where he became an accomplished chef. Today, there are 3 locations throughout Los Angeles; one in Culver City, one in Encino, and one in Beverlywood. I have been to the locations in Encino and Beverlywood.

Versailles: Salmon

Versailles is famous for their garlic chicken, but my favorite thing to order is the salmon. It is also cooked in the classic garlic sauce and serviced with rice, beans, and plantains. The garlic sauce is not for the faint of heart, it definitely packs a very garlic-y punch, which I absolutely LOVE. The fried plantains are also perfection. They have a little crunch on the outside but are nice and mushy on the inside, and so delicious! I especially love to eat the rice and beans in the same bite mixed together. And if you’re there for lunch you can get a little discount with the lunch special.

Versailles: Garlic Chicken

Whether you go for the chicken, the salmon, or one of the vegetarian options, you will not be disappointed by the Cuban food at Versailles!
